Epic Project Manager

Duration : 6-8 month contract

Location : Brookhaven, GA - Hybrid - onsite 2-3 days per week

Requirements :

• 5+ years of Epic project management experience with strong knowledge of Cadence and Prelude .
• Experience with Decision Trees , Guided Scheduling , and ambulatory ordering workflows, including preference lists, order sets, orders, schedules, visit types, self-service scheduling, and related scheduling optimization.
• Proven experience tracking project risks, decisions, and issues through resolution.
• Understanding of change management principles, including when to engage training teams and key stakeholders.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across Epic, operational, clinical, and training teams.

Job Description: Our client is seeking an experienced Epic Project Manager to support a large-scale Guided Scheduling initiative within the IT PMO. This individual will partner closely with an existing Project Manager and collaborate with Epic application teams, operational leaders, clinical stakeholders, and training teams to drive the successful planning and execution of scheduling workflow enhancements. The ideal candidate brings a strong understanding of Epic ambulatory and patient scheduling workflows, along with the ability to manage complex projects spanning multiple stakeholders and workstreams. This role will focus on coordinating project activities, tracking risks and decisions, supporting workflow design and implementation efforts, and ensuring operational readiness throughout the project lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support the planning, coordination, and execution of the Epic Guided Scheduling program, including project timelines, milestones, dependencies, and deliverables.
• Partner with Epic, operational, clinical, and training stakeholders to ensure alignment throughout all phases of the project.
• Lead and coordinate Guided Scheduling efforts across core functional areas, including orders, schedules, visit types, decision trees, and self-service scheduling.
• Track and manage project risks, issues, decisions, and action items through resolution while ensuring clear ownership and accountability.
• Apply change management best practices to support workflow, process, and technology changes.
• Identify downstream impacts to end users and engage training teams when workflow changes require education or adoption support.
• Coordinate testing, implementation, readiness, and go-live activities across impacted teams.
• Facilitate project meetings, document decisions and next steps, and maintain communication between technical and operational stakeholders.
• Drive cross-functional collaboration to support successful adoption of new scheduling capabilities and workflow enhancements.
