Epoxy Apprentice / Shop Helper

We are a small company that does high-end coatings all over the US and teach classes on these coatings. Here's the deal. We do some of the coolest finishes in the country: metallic epoxy, custom countertops, jobs people film and post and lose their minds over.

You will not be doing that on day one.

Day one, you're sweeping the shop. Then you're servicing the generator. Then you're making sure the shop is clean enough that a customer would never think twice about it. Then you're loading the truck the right way, and you're doing it again tomorrow.

Why? Because every guy on our crew who can lay a flawless floor got there by doing all of that first, and doing it well when nobody was watching. The finish work is the reward. The chores are the training. You just don't know it yet.

We want: someone hungry, teachable, and humble enough to know that a clean shop is the first step to a clean pour.
We don't want: anyone here for the highlight reel.

Stick with it and you'll learn construction and modern finishes from the ground up, from people who do it for a living, on real jobs across the country. Paid, and with a real path to move up.

What you'd actually be doing

• Sweeping and mopping the shop daily
• Keeping the customer bathroom spotless
• Servicing the generator (oil, fuel, filters)
• Loading and unloading trucks the right way
• Organizing tools, materials, and mixing stations
• Cleaning and maintaining grinders, squeegees, rollers, and other equipment
• Changing dust bags and filters, and swapping diamond grinding pads
• Checking inventory and flagging low supplies
• Washing vehicles and keeping the lot clean
• Setting up job sites: masking, protecting surfaces, running plastic
• Grinding and prepping concrete
• Patching cracks and repairing surfaces
• Mixing material to exact ratios
• Hauling out job site waste and cleaning up at the end of every day
• Assisting on epoxy, metallic, and countertop installs as you earn it

Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20.0 – 30.0 per week
