Epoxy Technician

Concord Industrial Coatings is looking for a reliable, enthusiastic person to join our flooring team on projects across the Gold Coast, Brisbane and Sunshine Coast.

This is a practical, hands-on opportunity to learn concrete preparation and epoxy flooring alongside experienced tradespeople. No previous flooring experience is required, although basic construction or labouring skills would be welcomed.

An apprenticeship may be available for the right candidate.

What you’ll be doing

You’ll support our team throughout the flooring installation process, with duties including:

• Setting up work areas, unloading equipment and moving materials.
• Removing existing floor coverings and preparing concrete surfaces.
• Assisting with grinding, vacuuming, levelling, patching and crack repairs.
• Protecting surrounding walls, fixtures and finishes before application.
• Measuring floor areas and assisting with material calculations under supervision.
• Mixing primers, epoxy and other flooring products as instructed.
• Helping apply base coats, decorative flake finishes and protective topcoats.
• Checking finished surfaces and assisting with touch-ups.
• Cleaning tools, maintaining equipment and keeping sites tidy.
• Assisting with pedestrian and vehicle access as directed.
• Following site safety procedures, safe work method statements and instructions from the team.

Who we’re looking for

You don’t need to be an experienced flooring installer. We’re looking for someone who:

• Is dependable, honest and willing to learn.
• Has a positive attitude and works well with others.
• Enjoys physical, hands-on work.
• Holds a current driver licence and can travel to different job sites.
• Holds a valid White Card.
• Has appropriate PPE, including a hard hat, hi-vis clothing and steel-cap boots.
• Is available Monday to Friday, with occasional Saturday work.

Hours and employment

• Casual position with typical full-time hours.
• Usual hours are 6:30 am to 3:00 pm, Monday to Friday.
• Site-based work across the Gold Coast, Brisbane and Sunshine Coast.
