Equipment Assembly Technician

Responsibilities

• Assemble and install mechanical and electrical components for equipment.
• Follow work instructions, technical drawings and assembly procedures.
• Perform basic testing and inspection to ensure equipment meets quality standards.
• Use hand tools and basic measuring equipment during assembly.
• Identify and report defects, abnormalities or assembly issues.
• Troubleshoot and rectify basic assembly problems.
• Maintain a clean and organised work area.
• Follow all safety and quality procedures.
• Work closely with engineers and team members to complete assembly work on schedule.

Requirements

• Nitec, Higher Nitec or Diploma in Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics, Mechatronics or a related discipline.
• Relevant experience in equipment assembly, machine building, production or manufacturing is preferred.
• Comfortable using hand tools and basic measuring equipment.
• Good attention to detail and willingness to learn.
• Comfortable working in a cleanroom / manufacturing environment.
