Equipment Controller

Job Summary

The Equipment Controller is responsible for the centralized monitoring, control, and administration of EEI Corporation’s construction equipment and machinery. The role ensures accurate equipment records, efficient utilization, proper deployment, and timely maintenance coordination to support the operational requirements of various projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain an accurate and updated master inventory of company equipment and machinery.
• Monitor the status, availability, location, assignment, and utilization of equipment deployed to various projects.
• Coordinate with project teams regarding equipment requirements, availability, deployment, transfer, and return.
• Maintain complete records of equipment movements, assignments, transfers, and accountability.
• Monitor equipment utilization, operating hours, downtime, and availability.
• Coordinate with the Equipment/Maintenance team regarding preventive maintenance, repairs, inspections, and servicing schedules.
• Monitor equipment maintenance records and ensure timely servicing based on established schedules.
• Prepare regular equipment utilization, inventory, availability, and status reports for management.
• Assist in evaluating equipment requirements and allocation based on project priorities and operational needs.
• Monitor idle, underutilized, or unavailable equipment and coordinate appropriate action.
• Coordinate with Finance, Procurement, Project Operations, and other concerned departments on equipment-related matters.
• Assist in monitoring equipment-related costs, maintenance expenses, and other operational data.
• Ensure proper documentation for equipment issuance, transfer, return, and disposal, when applicable.
• Support periodic physical inventory and reconciliation of equipment records.
• Maintain organized and updated equipment files, registrations, inspection records, and other required documents.
• Assist in monitoring compliance with company policies and procedures governing equipment management and utilization.
• Identify opportunities to improve equipment utilization, tracking, reporting, and control processes.
• Provide timely responses and support to project sites regarding equipment-related concerns.
• Perform other related duties as may be assigned by management.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Operations Management, Logistics, or a related field.
• At least 2–4 years of relevant experience in equipment control, asset management, fleet management, logistics, or operations.
• Experience in the construction or engineering industry is highly preferred.
• Knowledge of construction equipment and machinery is an advantage.
• Proficient in MS Office, particularly Excel.
• Strong data management, analytical, and organizational skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in maintaining records.
• Good communication and coordination skills.
• Ability to coordinate effectively with multiple project sites and internal departments.
• Able to manage multiple priorities and meet reporting deadlines.
