Equipment Development Technician

Primary Function:

1. Support the implementation, operation, maintenance, setup, and troubleshooting of Smart Factory systems to ensure reliable and efficient production.

2. Perform equipment inspections, modifications, and machine retrofitting with sensors, automation, and communication devices to improve equipment functionality and ensure compliance with safety standards.

3. Assist in equipment installation, testing, validation, documentation, and continuous improvement projects to enhance machine performance, reliability, and manufacturing efficiency.

4. Collect, verify, and document equipment data, maintenance activities, system changes, and troubleshooting records to support accurate integration with MES, SCADA, and other digital manufacturing systems.

5. Collaborate with engineers, MIS, and production teams to maintain Smart Factory system performance, resolve equipment issues, and drive continuous machine improvements.

6. Train operators/maintenance on basic machine care and enhanced equipment features, and perform other assigned duties to promote proper equipment operation and support departmental objectives.

7. Performs other duties as may be assigned

Minimum Requirements:

• Technical diploma or Associate’s Degree in Industrial Technology, Mechatronics, or a related field.
• Not a requirement but an advantage (At least 1 - 2 years work experience as process technical assistant in a Semiconductor or Electronics Company) Familiarity with automation systems, barcode tools, or digital production platforms.
• Knowledgeable in FPC manufacturing processes is an advantage. Proficient in using digital tools and MS Office. Basic Knowledge in automation logic and machine interface systems. Strong troubleshooting and hands-on technical skills. Basic understanding of PLC or machine communication is a plus. Keen to detail; work with minimum supervision, with good analytical and critical thinking
• Good communication and collaboration skills
