About the role
We are seeking an Equipment Engineer to join our dynamic engineering team on a full-time basis at our facility in Simpang Ampat, Penang. In this strategically important role, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and optimizing automated systems and processes that enhance our manufacturing capabilities and operational efficiency. You will play a key role in driving technological advancement within our organization, working collaboratively with cross-functional teams to deliver cutting-edge automation solutions. This position offers the opportunity to make a significant impact on our production systems and contribute to the company's growth trajectory.

Key responsibilities

• Experienced in installation, commissioning, operation, and management of large automated equipment.
• Skilled in maintenance of production equipment, shift operation management, and spare parts management.
• Proficient in mechanical and electrical troubleshooting, repair, and optimization of equipment control systems.
• Experienced in AutoCAD drafting, PLC programming, servo adjustment, and pneumatic control.
• Responsible for equipment standardization, setup, and staff training (preparing work instructions).
• Ensure scheduled equipment maintenance is carried out effectively to minimize downtime.
• Develop an efficient and cost-effective maintenance program for manufacturing equipment.
• Initiate continuous improvement projects to enhance equipment productivity and reduce maintenance costs.

What we're looking for

• Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical, Electronics, Mechanical, or Mechatronic Engineering.
• More than 5 years of working experience in factory equipment maintenance and management.
• Excellent understanding of hydraulic, mechanical, and electrical systems.
• Proficiency in Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) and servo motor control.
• Good understanding of reading and creating mechanical drawings and wiring diagrams (CAD).
