Equipment Engineer

What you'll be doing

1. Conducting equipment inspections, diagnostics and preventative maintenance schedules to ensure optimal performance and minimal downtime
2. Designing and specifying mechanical equipment systems in compliance with project requirements and industry standards
3. Evaluating and selecting appropriate equipment suppliers and manufacturers, ensuring value for money and quality standards
4. Managing equipment procurement processes, including technical specifications, quotations and vendor negotiations
5. Monitoring equipment performance metrics and troubleshooting mechanical issues to implement corrective actions
6. Collaborating with project managers, contractors and site teams to ensure equipment integration and smooth operations
7. Maintaining detailed equipment records, documentation and maintenance logs for compliance and audit purposes
8. Conducting cost-benefit analyses for equipment upgrades, replacements and modifications
9. Ensuring all equipment operations comply with safety regulations, environmental standards and company policies
10. Training and providing technical guidance to operations and maintenance personnel on equipment use and maintenance procedures

What we're looking for

1. Graduate of Mechanical Engineering
2. With License is an advantage but not required
3. Minimum 2-5 years of professional experience in equipment engineering, maintenance management or mechanical systems
4. Strong knowledge of mechanical equipment design principles, industrial machinery and construction equipment
5. Proficiency in equipment specification, selection and procurement processes
6. Proficiency in Microsoft
7. Experience with preventative and predictive maintenance programmes
8. Competence in reading and interpreting technical drawings, blueprints and equipment manuals
9. Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex mechanical issues
10. Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work collaboratively across teams
11. Knowledge of relevant safety regulations, industry standards and best practices in mechanical engineering
12. Willingness to travel to project sites as required
