Equipment Engineer

About the role

The Equipment Engineer is responsible for the operation, troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance of new automated coil production machines. The candidate will conduct training at our sister company in Shanghai to master the machines. Back at our Thai site, the engineer ensures that the machines are correctly installed and set up, operate efficiently, and consistently produce high-quality coils. Strong English skills are essential for training and effective communication with external engineers and management.

Key responsibilities

• Serve as the key technical expert for automated coil production machines.
• Operate, monitor, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair automated production machines to ensure high-quality, uninterrupted production.
• Manage consumables, wearing parts, and regular spare parts to ensure smooth operation.
• Document production data, maintenance activities, and process improvements.
• Create and maintain operation and maintenance work instructions.
• Train and lead operators/technicians in daily operation, maintenance, and safety practices.
• Support future new equipment introduction in cooperation with colleagues from other sites around the globe.
• Perform and support PPAP (Production Part Approval Process) activities for new parts, including sample runs, measurement, and documentation, to meet customer qualification requirements.

About you

• Bachelor's degree (or higher) in Mechanical, Electrical, Automation, Mechatronics, or a related field.
• At least 3 years of hands-on experience with automated production machinery, including operation, troubleshooting, maintenance, repair, and process improvement.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and process flow diagrams.
• Understanding of process engineering principles related to automated production.
• Strong English communication skills (speaking, reading, writing).
• High problem-solving ability, independence, and initiative in handling machine issues.
• Willingness and readiness to visit sister companies abroad.
• Willingness to perform PPAP (Production Part Approval Process) for new parts, including required documentation and support for customer qualification.
