About the role

Ionics EMS Inc. is seeking an Equipment Engineer to join our engineering team on a full-time basis in Cabuyao City, Laguna. This role is pivotal to ensuring the optimal performance, maintenance, and strategic management of our equipment and manufacturing systems. As an Equipment Engineer, you will play a crucial part in enhancing operational efficiency, reducing downtime, and driving continuous improvement across our facility. This position offers the opportunity to work on cutting-edge engineering challenges whilst contributing directly to the company's growth and success.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct regular inspections, diagnostics, and troubleshooting of manufacturing equipment to identify potential issues before they impact production

• Collaborate with production teams to understand equipment requirements and provide technical support and solutions

• Maintain detailed equipment documentation, including technical specifications, maintenance records, and performance metrics

• Recommend and oversee equipment upgrades, modifications, and replacements to improve functionality and reduce operational costs

• Manage equipment procurement processes, including vendor evaluation, cost analysis, and quality assurance

• Provide technical training to production and maintenance staff on equipment operation and safety protocols

• Monitor equipment performance against key performance indicators (KPIs) and implement corrective actions as needed

• Ensure all equipment operates in compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations

What we're looking for

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics Engineer.

• 1-2 years of professional experience in equipment engineering, maintenance engineering, or manufacturing engineering roles

• Strong knowledge of equipment principles, maintenance practices, and troubleshooting methodologies

• Demonstrated ability to analyze complex technical problems and develop practical solutions

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively across multidisciplinary teams

• Experience with preventive maintenance and equipment maintenance approaches

• Preferably, experience in the electronics manufacturing or EMS (Electronics Manufacturing Services) industry

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and data analysis tools
