Major Duties

• Preventive & Predictive Maintenance Program Development and Execution Develop, document, and continuously optimize Preventive Maintenance (PM) and Predictive Maintenance (PdM) strategies for all critical plant equipment based on OEM recommendations, failure history, and risk-priority analysis. Define maintenance intervals, inspection checklists, lubrication schedules, and condition-monitoring routes; ensure all tasks are loaded, scheduled, and executed within the CMMS with full traceability. Analyze Mean Time Between Failures (MTBF) and Mean Time To Repair (MTTR) data; use reliability metrics to prioritize improvement efforts and justify capital spare-part investments.
• Breakdown Response, Troubleshooting & Root Cause Failure Analysis Provide rapid technical response to equipment breakdowns and abnormal conditions; lead or support mechanical/electrical troubleshooting to minimize unplanned downtime. Conduct structured Root Cause Failure Analysis (RCFA) for chronic or catastrophic failures using methodologies such as Fault Tree Analysis, 5-Why. Maintain a failure history database within the CMMS to capture symptoms, root causes, actions taken, and parts consumed; feed insights back into PFMEA reviews with Process Engineering.
• Equipment Installation, Commissioning, Modification & Asset Management Lead or actively participate in new equipment installations, major rebuilds, and line modifications from technical specification review through mechanical/electrical completion, calibration, and commissioning. Collaborate with OEM vendors and contractors on equipment acceptance, warranty claims, and technical documentation handover (as-built drawings, spare-part lists, operation manuals).
• Spare Parts Management & MRO Inventory Optimization Define critical spare-part inventories (insurance spares, wear parts, consumables) based on equipment criticality, lead times, and failure modes; maintain optimal stock levels to balance availability versus carrying cost.
• Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) & Continuous Improvement Act as the technical backbone of TPM initiatives; coach and audit production teams on Autonomous Maintenance activities including cleaning, inspecting, lubricating, and tightening standards.
• Safety, Regulatory Compliance & Permit-to-Work Systems Enforce strict adherence to all plant safety rules, LOTO (Lockout/Tagout) procedures, confined-space protocols, hot-work permits, and electrical safety standards during every maintenance activity.
• Technical Documentation, CMMS Governance & Cross-Functional Collaboration Ensure all maintenance activities are accurately recorded in the CMMS (work orders, labor hours, materials used, failure codes, findings, follow-up actions) to preserve asset reliability history.
