Equipment Maintenance Engineer

Responsible for overseeing maintenance activities for the EV battery pack production line, ensuring equipment reliability, production efficiency, and operational continuity. The role includes preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, equipment performance analysis, technical improvements, maintenance record management, and PLC programming/modifications to support safe and efficient manufacturing operations.

Equipment Maintenance & Reliability

• Supervise preventive and corrective maintenance activities for equipment used in the EV battery pack production line.
• Ensure equipment inspections, repairs, and maintenance activities are carried out effectively to maximize equipment reliability and production efficiency.
• Review and analyze maintenance records, identify root causes of equipment failures, and implement corrective and preventive actions.
• Monitor equipment performance and ensure compliance with technical specifications, safety standards, and operational requirements.
• Utilize, troubleshoot, and modify Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) systems to support equipment operation and continuous improvement.

Technical Support & Process Improvement

• Provide technical guidance and troubleshooting support to maintenance technicians.
• Support equipment improvement initiatives to enhance productivity, quality, and equipment reliability.
• Coordinate with Production, Engineering, Quality, and other cross-functional teams to resolve equipment-related issues and minimize downtime.
• Prepare technical reports, maintenance documentation, work instructions, and training materials.

Maintenance Planning & Projects

• Participate in equipment installation, commissioning, modification, upgrading, and major maintenance projects.
• Develop and standardize maintenance procedures, preventive maintenance plans, and best practices.
• Support the planning and execution of equipment renewal and continuous improvement projects.

Data Analysis & Spare Parts Management

• Collect and analyze equipment performance, downtime, and maintenance data to identify trends and improvement opportunities.
• Monitor equipment KPIs and recommend actions to improve Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE).
• Manage critical spare parts and consumables to ensure equipment availability and minimize production interruptions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering**, Mechanical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering**, or a related field.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in equipment maintenance, manufacturing, or a related engineering role.
• Basic English communication skills (both spoken and written).
• Strong knowledge of equipment troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and preventive maintenance planning.
• Ability to analyze equipment issues and recommend effective maintenance and improvement solutions.
• Capable of developing maintenance standards, work procedures, and Work Instructions (WI).
• Able to work effectively under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
• Good teamwork, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Willing and able to work in shifts when required by the production plan.
• Experience in the automotive, lithium battery, EV battery pack, or EV manufacturing industry is preferred.
• Experience with automated production lines, robotics, PLC systems, or industrial automation equipment will be an advantage.
