The Equipment Maintenance Technician performs maintenance and repair operations necessary to keep plant, equipment, machinery, and tools in good operating Condition. This position is a multi-craft maintenance position with heavy focus on the mechanical skill set.

Job Function:

• Responsible for a wide range of duties from mechanical to electrical depending on needs.
• Schedules periodic andrequiredmaintenance/repairs on all property and equipment.
• Maintains and performs facility repairs.
• Inspects, repairs, installs,modify, andmaintains3 phaseelectricalsystems, circuits, and various other types of mechanical/electrical and related equipment.
• Welding, Torch Cutting, and Fabricating when needed.
• Sets andmaintainspreventive maintenance schedule on equipment
• Ability to diagnose motor and drive failures.
• Maintain and repair horizontal steel-cutting band saws.
• Install any industrial equipment.
• Prepare andmaintainall work orders, relating to preventative and routine maintenance of equipment, machinery, company property, and building repairs.
• Consistently adheres to all safety practices and procedures.

Required Skills:

High school diploma or Technical School Degree withappropriate mechanicalandindustrialelectricalskillspreferred; stick welding certification a plus

Experience as a Maintenance Technician****preferred

2-5 years of responsible experience in building and mechanical equipment maintenance and repair or equivalent combination of education and experience

Experience or ability to learn throughon the jobtraining bothflat and vertical welding

Basic electrical knowledgeregardinglow voltage controls and motors up to and including480 amp3**phase.**Knowledge and ability to understand, wear and care for required PPE when working in electrically hazardous environments

Basic mechanical knowledge and experience with gas and diesel motors

Knowledge of OSHA regulations

Gearboxrebuild, Hydraulic andpneumatic, overhead crane experience****required

Compensation Range: The anticipated compensation for this position is USD $25.00/Hr. - USD $28.00/Hr. depending on experience, qualifications, and location.
