Equipment Operator

Join our dedicated team based in Rocky View County, Alberta, and play a key role in maintaining and improving civil infrastructure. This position reports to the Road Manager.

What you bring:

• High School Diploma (or equivalent)
• Class 3 Driver’s License with air brake endorsement and a clean abstract
• Minimum two years of related work experience
• Experience operating highway maintenance and snow removal equipment
• Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to learn quickly
• Ability to work shifts, call-outs, weekends, and overtime
• Willingness to work in extreme weather conditions
• Strong communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills
• Physically capable of performing heavy labour

This role involves a range of job duties, which include, but are not limited to:

• Operate trucks to haul asphalt and materials
• Perform snow plowing, sanding, and salting during winter events
• Conduct physical labour such as pothole patching and vegetation clearing
• Inspect highways, shoulders, and interchanges for debris and hazards
• Complete pre-trip and post-trip inspections
• Support traffic control and ensure public safety
• Perform other duties as required
