Equipment Operator

Job Summary

We are seeking a motivated and skilled Equipment Operator to join our dynamic construction team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for operating a variety of construction machinery and equipment to support building projects, infrastructure development, and site preparation. Your expertise will ensure that all operations are carried out safely, efficiently, and in compliance with occupational safety regulations. Responsibilities

• Operate construction equipment such as loaders, backhoes, cranes, concrete mixers, and front loader trucks to perform various tasks on-site
• Conduct routine maintenance and inspections of construction machinery to ensure optimal performance and safety compliance
• Handle materials using appropriate material handling equipment, including roll-off trucks and farm machinery when necessary
• Follow all safety procedures and wear personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times during equipment operation
• Maintain accurate records of equipment usage, maintenance schedules, and safety checks in accordance with occupational safety regulations
• Assist with site setup, material delivery, and cleanup activities using hydraulic systems and hand tools
• Collaborate with team members to execute construction plans efficiently while adhering to project timelines and safety standards

Experience

• Proven experience operating heavy construction machinery such as loaders, backhoes, cranes, and concrete mixers on commercial or construction sites
• Knowledge of hydraulics systems, mechanical maintenance, and basic repairs for construction equipment
• Valid commercial driver’s license with experience driving commercial trucks including front loader trucks and roll-off trucks
• Familiarity with construction site safety regulations and proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE)
• Hands-on experience with construction site activities involving material handling equipment operation and general construction machinery maintenance
• Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions while maintaining a focus on safety and efficiency
• Prior experience working with Caterpillar or similar heavy machinery is preferred but not required
