Equipment Operator

Job Summary

We are seeking a motivated and skilled Equipment Operator to join our dynamic construction team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for operating a variety of construction machinery and equipment to support building projects, infrastructure development, and site preparation. Your expertise will help ensure that projects are completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest standards. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with heavy machinery, contribute to large-scale construction efforts, and develop your skills in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Operate construction equipment including excavators, bulldozers, loaders, backhoes, cranes, water trucks, dump trucks, tankers, and other heavy machinery with precision and safety awareness.
• Perform routine inspections and maintenance on equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety compliance.
• Follow all safety procedures and occupational safety regulations while operating machinery and handling materials on-site.
• Assist with material handling tasks using appropriate equipment such as forklifts, roll-off trucks, front loader trucks, and other material transport vehicles.
• Conduct pre-operation checks on equipment to identify potential issues before use; report any malfunctions promptly.
• Support site activities by preparing the work area, setting up machinery, and ensuring all tools and equipment are used correctly and safely.
• Adhere to all personal protective equipment (PPE) requirements and safety protocols during daily operations.

Qualifications

• Proven experience operating construction machinery such as dozers, loaders, excavators, cranes (including tower cranes), backhoes, and water trucks.
• Strong knowledge of hydraulics, mechanical systems, and basic maintenance procedures for heavy equipment.
• Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) with experience in commercial truck driving preferred.
• Familiarity with construction site safety regulations and occupational safety standards.
• Ability to perform manual tasks using hand tools safely and effectively.
• Construction site experience is highly desirable; previous work with concrete mixers or farm machinery is a plus.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.

Pay: $32.00 - $38.00 per hour
