Equipment Operator

Job Summary

We are seeking a motivated and skilled Equipment Operator to join our dynamic construction team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for operating a variety of construction machinery and heavy equipment to support building projects, infrastructure development, and site preparation. Your expertise will help ensure safe, efficient, and timely project completion while maintaining high standards of safety and quality. Duties

• Operate construction machinery including loaders, backhoes, excavators, and dump trucks to move materials and prepare sites effectively.
• Perform routine inspections and maintenance on equipment such as hydraulic systems, mechanical parts, and safety features to ensure optimal performance.
• Follow all safety procedures and occupational safety regulations diligently, including the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Assist with site setup by preparing the ground with heavy machinery and ensuring all operations comply with safety standards.
• Maintain detailed logs of equipment usage, maintenance activities, and safety inspections for accountability and regulatory compliance.
• Collaborate with team members to coordinate the movement of construction materials and ensure efficient site operations.

Requirements

• Proven experience operating heavy construction machinery such as dozers, loaders, backhoes, and dump trucks in a construction environment.
• Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) with experience driving commercial trucks is a plus.
• Strong mechanical knowledge related to construction machinery maintenance and troubleshooting hydraulics and other mechanical systems.
• Familiarity with hand tools, construction site safety procedures, and occupational safety regulations.
• Ability to perform routine inspections and basic repairs on equipment to ensure safe operation throughout the workday.
• Experience working on construction sites with knowledge of material handling equipment operation like forklifts or front loader trucks.
• Physical ability to operate heavy machinery for extended periods while maintaining focus on safety standards.

Pay: $20.00 - $29.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40.0 per week
