Equipment Operator

Overview

Join our growing construction team as a Site Foreman Equipment Operator! In this energetic position, you'll operate a variety of heavy machinery and construction equipment, ensuring projects are completed efficiently, safely, and to the highest standards. Duties

• Safely operate heavy construction machinery including excavators, loaders, skid steers, and dump trucks, to support various phases of construction projects.
• Read plans and be able to set up job sites for efficient construction.
• Lead a team in the proper installation of sewer, septic, water and drainage systems.
• Follow detailed safety regulations and occupational safety procedures at all times to maintain a secure work environment.
• Assist with the setup and dismantling of construction sites by moving materials and preparing work zones using appropriate machinery.
• Collaborate with project managers and team members to execute tasks efficiently while adhering to project timelines and specifications.
• Use personal protective equipment (PPE) consistently and correctly to minimize risk during all operations.

Skills

• Proven experience operating construction machinery including excavators, dozers, loaders, backhoes, and skid steers.
• Be proficient in reading plans, understanding grades, and setting up installation projects.
• Valid Massachusetts Hoisting license (2A)
• Preferred: Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL A or B) with experience driving heavy-duty vehicles such as dump trucks.
• Familiarity with construction site safety regulations and occupational safety standards; committed to maintaining a safe work environment.
• Knowledge of septic system installation and sewer construction.
• Must be able to pass drug testing.
• Ability to stand, walk, lift heavy loads, and operate machinery for extended periods.

Pay: $35.00 - $45.00 per hour
