EQUIPMENT OPERATOR - FOOD STORAGE

The full-time position will include setting-up and operating equipment for the handling and storage of pulses and specialty grains for distribution to domestic and international markets.

Essential Requirements:
 
While training will be provided, the successful applicant will be able to demonstrate:

• A proven safety focus in the workplace.
• Current Forklift licence.
• Minimum "C" class driver licence.
• Sound literacy and numeracy skills.
• Proven interpersonal skills.
• Computer skills.
• A mechanical aptitude.
• Availability for shift work.

Preferred Requirements:
 
Although not essential, preference will be shown to applicants also able to offer any of the following:

• Work Safely at Heights certification.
• Confined Spaces certification.

The Duties:
 
The successful applicant will be required to perform the following duties to achieve company standards for safety, quality, productivity and hygiene:

• Compliance with all workplace health and safety obligations
• Set-up and monitor automatic equipment.
• Monitor product and packaging quality standards.
• Operate Forklifts.
• Maintain site hygiene.
• Accurately record and report product counts.
• Complete all required documentation.
• Report maintenance requirements of plant and equipment as needed.
