Equipment Operator, Full-time, Seasonal

Position Description: Purpose

The Equipment Operator position located at TRC MN LLC is primarily responsible for the maintenance of the snow and ice facilities. The Equipment Operator role also supports TRC MN by providing routine maintenance and repairs on equipment.

Essential Functions*

• Operate and maintain heavy machinery and equipment to build and maintain ice and snow tracks
• Perform routine maintenance on equipment, such as oil and filter changes, greasing, and lubricating
• Make basic repairs and report malfunctioning equipment to supervisors
• Push, plow, sweep and blow snow to clean ice and snow from asphalt surfaces

Other Duties and Responsibilities (Non-Essential Functions)

• Follow safety procedures; wear protective equipment including but not limited to safety glasses and steel-toed shoes
• Assist outside contractors
• Coordinate and schedule activities with affected areas
• Support TRC Inc.’s Quality and EH&S (Environmental, Health, and Safety) efforts

Qualifications

• High school diploma is preferred
• Valid state DMV issued or valid foreign country issued driver’s license
• Basic knowledge of how to operate heavy machinery
• Basic knowledge of safe and proper tool and equipment use
• Proficient in the use of equipment related to knowledge areas
• Excellent communication skills
• Ability to complete and pass all internal, position specific job and safety trainings required

Working conditions

• May be exposed to temperatures under 0 degrees and above 95 degrees
• May be exposed to inclement weather
• May be exposed to hazardous chemical, such as gas, oil, and paint

Physical requirements

• Ability to move objects up to 50 pounds
• Capable of positioning one’s self into bending, stretching, climbing, or awkward positions
