Equipment Operator/Utility

Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Equipment Operator/Utility to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience operating various heavy equipment machinery and possess a strong understanding of quarry and mining operations. Pay is dependent on experience and knowledge.

Responsibilities:

• Operate and maintain equipment such as excavators, loaders, haul trucks, water trucks, dozers, etc.
• Ensure equipment is operated safely and efficiently to meet project deadlines.
• Perform preventive maintenance and pre-shift inspections; repair and/or clean equipment as needed.
• Follow project plans and instructions from supervisors to complete tasks accurately and on time.
• Follow all safety and environmental rules, regulations and procedures as set forth by company policies and MSHA.
• Perform other tasks as assigned by supervisor.

Requirements:

• Proven experience in heavy equipment operation with proficiency
• Ability to operate various types of heavy equipment efficiently and safely.
• Demonstrable ability to perform manual labor in different environments as needed (such as: shoveling, lifting, moving materials)
• Willingness to work flexible schedule including extended hours.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.

Physical Demands:

• Must be able to climb in and out / up and down equipment several times a day.
• Must be able to sit, stand and operate for several hours a day.
• Must be able to use repetitive motions multiple times a day.
• Must be able to lift at least 50 pounds.
