Job Title: Equipment Supervisor

Purpose of Position:

The purpose of this position is to support the efficient management, utilization, and readiness of the company’s equipment and batch plant operations. Working closely with the VP of Paving and Equipment, this role oversees equipment acquisition, maintenance, repair, transfer, utilization, and replacement while ensuring equipment and batch plants remain operational and properly maintained. The position also provides leadership and oversight of the Bunnlevel operations, including equipment logistics, readiness priorities, personnel scheduling, and coordination of resources to support project and operational needs.

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES:

• Supervise and direct equipment personnel in the following:
  • Approve time-cards and ensure all hours are allocated to the correct cost code.
  • Operation of the maintenance and repair shop.
  • Purchase and maintenance of repair and replacement parts.
  • Preparation of purchase orders.
  • Maintain and update records for repairs of Equipment.
  • Assignment of equipment numbers and equipment coding.
• Collaborate and cooperate with the General Superintendent Operations Manager to assess what equipment is needed for what jobs. Work with them in prioritizing the most important equipment and scope of work.
• Perform annual inventory on all trucks/equipment/assets
  • Keep track of any heavy equipment warranties.
• Collaborate and cooperate with the project managers in the assignment and transfer of equipment.
• Consult with the project managers on all project equipment problems and comply with their requirements whenever possible and practical.
• Maintain clean, workable shop and yard areas.
• Improve Safety and Quality within the maintenance department.
• Review all safety and security measures for equipment and work with Safety leadership to improve concerns.
• Assist in the batch plant set up and take down as required by job and/or scope of work.
• Ensure equipment inspections are being completed on a regular basis and that employees are reporting equipment damage, or need for repair, timely.
• Assist in other areas as directed by the VP of Paving and Equipment.

EDUCATION AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS:

• Experience in management of equipment and fleet
• Maintain an approved MVR by meeting insurance guidelines
• NRMCA Batch Plant Manager Certification preferred
• Obtain and maintain security clearance to access military base
• Excellent communication skills – written/verbal
• Knowledge of FMCSA/State/Local regulations
• Required to maintain a valid Driver's License, preferably a Class "A" or Class "B" commercial driver's license.
