EQUIPMENT TECHNICIAN

About the role

Polystar Manpower Services is seeking a skilled and reliable Equipment Technician to join our growing team in Paranaque City, Metro Manila. This is a full-time position that plays a crucial role in ensuring the optimal performance and maintenance of our equipment portfolio. As an Equipment Technician, you will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting of various equipment to ensure operational efficiency and minimal downtime. This role is essential to our business operations and directly impacts our ability to deliver quality service to our clients.

Key responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance and inspections on all equipment to ensure compliance with safety standards and operational requirements
• Diagnose equipment malfunctions and defects using appropriate testing equipment and troubleshooting techniques
• Repair and replace faulty components, parts, and equipment in a timely and efficient manner
• Install new equipment according to manufacturer specifications and technical drawings
• Maintain detailed records of all maintenance, repairs, and service activities performed on equipment
• Respond promptly to equipment breakdowns and emergency repair requests
• Collaborate with other team members to ensure smooth operations and coordinate maintenance schedules
• Adhere to all health and safety regulations and company policies whilst performing maintenance tasks
• Identify equipment deficiencies and recommend upgrades or replacements when necessary
• Provide technical support and guidance to other staff members as required

What we're looking for

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or diploma in equipment maintenance or related field is highly preferred
• Proven experience as an Equipment Technician or in a similar maintenance role for at least 2-3 years
• Strong knowledge of equipment operation, maintenance, and repair procedures
• Proficiency in using diagnostic tools, testing equipment, and hand tools
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, manuals, and blueprints
• Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
• Good communication skills and ability to document work accurately
• Physical capability to lift heavy equipment and work in various environmental conditions
• Valid driver's licence is an advantage
• Knowledge of preventative maintenance best practices
