Equipment Technician (Internship)

Job Responsibilities:

• Support senior technicians in executing daily and weekly scheduled Preventive Maintenance (PM) checklists on SiC manufacturing tools.
• Assist in diagnosing and repairing basic mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic component faults under strict supervision.
• Conduct regular cleanroom floor inspections to log critical machine metrics (such as vacuum levels, pressure gauges, and gas flows).
• Maintain maintenance work areas, toolkits, and cleanroom environments in pristine condition to prevent particle contamination.
• Assist in logging, organizing, and auditing the engineering spare parts inventory and hardware kits.
• Ensure accurate and clear entry of tool maintenance hours and basic error logs into shift logbooks.

Job Requirements:

• Education: Currently pursuing a Diploma, Advanced Diploma, or Certificate (SKM / Vocational) in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical & Electronics Engineering, Mechatronics, or equivalent technical fields.
• Duration: Able to commit to a continuous internship period of 3 to 6 months.
• Technical Skills: Basic understanding of pneumatic valves, electrical wiring, sensors, and a foundational ability to read simple engineering schematics or drawings.
• Language & Traits: Good conversational English and Malay. Eager to learn, practical minded, and comfortable doing hands-on mechanical tasks.
• Working Conditions: Healthy and physically fit; fully comfortable wearing a cleanroom bunny suit for extended periods, and willing to follow factory shift support schedules if required.
