Equities and Fixed Income Operations Associate

About the Role:

The Associate will support daily Triparty Collateral Management operations, including trade matching, collateral allocation/substitution, liquidity monitoring, reconciliations, and timely issue resolution. This role contributes to the administration of high-volume triparty repo activity across BNY Mellon cash accounts and partners closely with Front Office, internal stakeholders, and external parties to ensure accurate end-of-day processing.

Key Responsibilities:

• Ensure triparty processing and settlement through the BNY Mellon AccessEdge system.
• Monitor timely trade matching through BNY Mellon systems and follow up on exceptions.
• Partner with Front Office to escalate unmatched trades and trade discrepancies in a timely manner.
• Monitor and process GCF Repo transactions. o Process DTCC collateral pledges. o Ensure sufficient liquidity across cash accounts to support trade settlements. o Calculate and notify Front Office of end-of-day triparty collateral needs. o Calculate and instruct daily interest payments on repo transactions.
• Reconcile and balance triparty positions between Front Office and Back Office systems.
• Research and resolve rate discrepancies and operational breaks.

• Strong analytical, organizational, and reporting skills. o Flexibility in working methods and ability to thrive in a dynamic, international environment. o High attention to detail; able to work under pressure while maintaining quality.
• Ability to follow established procedures and compliance policies. o Knowledge of financial markets and products; proficiency in Excel. o Strong English communication skills.

Education & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• 1-3 years of relevant experience in US triparty collateral management, securities settlements, or related operations.
