About the Opportunity

Our client, a fast-growing AI-driven investment research firm, is seeking a Software Equity Research Analyst to join its global research team.

The firm builds next-generation AI infrastructure and autonomous agent workflows for fundamental equity research, serving dozens of institutional investors across the US, Hong Kong, and Singapore. In this seat, you will conduct institutional-grade fundamental research across public tech equities while directly collaborating with product and engineering teams to shape proprietary research automation tools for global markets.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct independent, deep-dive fundamental research on US and Asian software/SaaS companies, publishing thematic and stock-specific reports.

• Build and maintain dynamic financial models, unit economics, cohort analyses, and valuation frameworks.

• Collaborate closely with machine learning and engineering teams to design and refine AI-driven equity research tools.

• Develop and maintain proprietary technology sector datasets, benchmarking operational metrics and product KPIs.

• Engage directly with institutional hedge fund clients globally to present research findings and communicate market insights.

Requirements

• 2–6 years of software / SaaS equity research experience at a buy-side fund, sell-side broker, or consulting firm.

• Strong financial modeling and valuation capabilities, with familiarity leveraging modern productivity and data tools.

• Deep curiosity about the software landscape and an interest in how AI is reshaping enterprise technology.

• Fluent business English, with proven ability to write buy-side quality reports and present views clearly to institutional clients.

• Bachelor’s degree or above in Finance, Economics, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.

• High intellectual curiosity, detail-oriented work ethic, and an entrepreneurial approach to problem-solving.

• An active personal investment track record in public markets is an advantage.
