1. About XPNT

XPNT Capital Management is a hedge fund focused on international equity markets, based in Amsterdam. We are building a focused, research-driven investment firm grounded in rigorous fundamental analysis, independent thinking, and intellectual honesty.

2. Role Overview

This is a 3-month, full-time paid internship for recent graduates and final-year students with 0–1 years of relevant experience. It is designed for people who want to build a serious career in public equity investing and develop strong investment judgment.

Interns who perform very well could be offered a permanent analyst position at the end of the internship.

You will do real research work from day one: building financial models, understanding businesses and industries, valuation, and the key drivers behind company performance. You will work closely with our analysts and portfolio manager and get regular, direct feedback on your work.

This is a full-time, fully in-office role based in central Bucharest. We do not offer remote or work-from-home positions.

3. Responsibilities

Your responsibilities will include

• Building and maintaining financial models and dashboards
• Researching listed companies, industries, competitors, and value chains
• Writing and organizing high-quality research notes and internal materials
• Participating in calls and meetings with company management
• Supporting idea generation and internal investment discussions
• Using AI tools effectively to improve speed, depth, and research quality

4. Candidate Profile

Background

We are looking for candidates who have recently completed, or are about to complete, a master’s degree in finance, economics, accounting, or an other analytically demanding field. Relevant work experience is not required. Internships or part-time work in a related area count in your favour. CFA Level I progress, and evidence of a real interest in investing, such as your own stock research or investment club work, will be viewed positively.
