ER Consultant

• 2 roles- Permanent & a Fixed Term contract until June 2027
• Auckland CBD

We are looking for intermediate level ER Consultants to join a large organisation in the CBD- you may be an experienced ER Consultant or you may be a Senior Advisor or a Business Partner with a passion for ER.

The ER Consultant will provide effective, pragmatic, consistent, professional and timely advice throughout the lifecycle of employment relation cases and support to people leaders and employees.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide people leaders with clear and pragmatic expert advice
• Disciplinary action, conflict management, investigations, poor performance management, attendance improvement, restructures and serious health and wellbeing concerns.
• Provide case support in preparation for attendance at
• mediations/authority.
• Ensure all open cases are actively managed to a timely resolution
• Maintain accurate and timely case records.
• Coach and develop people leaders’ capability
• Facilitate business workshops specific to ER

Experience:

• Comprehensive knowledge of New Zealand employment legislation
• Experience working in employment relations roles in a complex ER environment with conflicting priorities
• Demonstrated capability in advising people leaders end-to-end on disciplinary processes
• Proven stakeholder engagement skills
• Proven ability to negotiate effective employment resolutions
