Erection QA/QC

Job Responsibilities:

• Inspect and monitor PEB structural steel erection activities as per approved drawings, specifications, and method statements.
• Verify alignment, level, plumb, dimensions, and erection tolerances of structural members.
• Inspect bolted connections, including bolt grade, tightening, torque/tension, and connection details.
• Check welding activities and ensure compliance with approved WPS/PQR and project specifications where applicable.
• Verify incoming materials, identification, traceability, and material certificates.
• Conduct inspections at different stages of erection and coordinate with the client/consultant for inspection and approvals.
• Prepare and maintain Inspection & Test Plans (ITP), checklists, inspection requests, and quality records.
• Raise and close NCRs, observations, and punch points in coordination with the erection team.
• Ensure erection work follows approved drawings, method statements, safety requirements, and applicable codes/standards.
• Coordinate with the site engineer, erection supervisor, surveyor, subcontractors, and client QA/QC team.
• Monitor final inspection, snag clearance, and handover documentation.
• Maintain proper QA/QC documentation and submit daily/weekly quality reports.

Required Qualification & Experience:

• Experience in PEB/structural steel erection and site QA/QC.
• Knowledge of structural steel erection, bolted connections, welding, surveying, and inspection procedures.
• Ability to read structural/PEB fabrication and erection drawings.
• Knowledge of relevant IS/ASTM/AISC or project-specific standards is preferred.
• Good communication and documentation skills.
