ERP Consultant (Functional)

About the role

You will configure and support AXR's ERP across finance, project accounting, procurement and the property and construction processes behind them. You will work directly with accounts, project and site teams to design how work should flow through the system, then deliver the changes.

Key responsibilities

• Gather and document business requirements, and map current-state and future-state processes.
• Configure SAP (FI/CO, MM, PS, RE-FX) or Oracle (GL, AP, AR, Projects, Procurement) modules to agreed designs.
• Advise on process design for job costing, progress claims, variations, retentions and subcontractor payments.
• Lead user acceptance testing, and prepare test scripts and results.
• Prepare training materials and deliver end-user training.
• Provide ongoing support, triage incidents and work with developers on fixes.
• Support month-end, year-end and BAS reporting and reconciliations.
• Help the project manager with estimates and status reports.

Essential requirements

• At least three years' experience as a functional ERP consultant on SAP or Oracle, including at least one full implementation or major upgrade.
• Strong knowledge of at least one of: financial accounting, management accounting, project accounting or procurement.
• Working knowledge of Australian GST, BAS and payroll reporting.
• Experience writing functional specifications and test scripts.
• Clear communicator who can work with accountants, site managers and executives.

Desirable

• Experience in construction, property development or contract-based businesses.
• SAP PS or RE-FX, or Oracle Projects experience.
• Knowledge of progress claims and contract administration, including the Queensland Building Industry Fairness (Security of Payment) Act.
• SAP or Oracle certification.

The person we are looking for

• Practical and process-minded.
• Comfortable on the phone or on site with people who don't use the system every day.
• Writes down what was agreed, and sends it the same day.

Work arrangement

Based in Beenleigh, Queensland (11 Main Street, Beenleigh QLD 4207). Remote and work-from-home arrangements are available for this role. Working from AXR offices in other Australian locations is acceptable. Some travel to project sites and to Beenleigh may be needed.

Pay: $100,000.00 – $105,000.00 per year
