ERP Integration Engineer – E-Invoicing

The Role
We are looking for an ERP Integration Engineer to connect client ERP systems to Sumu’s e-invoicing APIs. You will manage each integration end to end, from data mapping through compliance validation to go-live.

Responsibilities

• Integrate client ERPs with Sumu’s e-invoicing APIs, including SAP (ECC / S/4HANA), Odoo, Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central, Tally and Oracle.
• Map ERP invoice, credit note and debit note data to e-invoicing formats (UBL / XML / JSON).
• Make sure invoices meet Fawtara requirements: mandatory fields, VAT treatment, tax categories, sequencing and validation rules.
• Build and maintain e-invoicing connectors and plugins, for example Odoo modules, BC extensions and Tally TDL.
• Diagnose and resolve invoice validation errors, rejections and submission failures.
• Run technical assessments and integration workshops with client finance and IT teams.
• Handle testing, UAT, go-live and post-go-live support.
• Write integration guides and support the sales team on e-invoicing RFPs, proposals and demos.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering or a related field.
• 3+ years of ERP integration or implementation experience.
• Hands-on experience with at least one of: SAP (ABAP / CPI / IDoc), Odoo (Python), Dynamics BC (AL), or Tally (TDL).
• Strong experience with REST APIs, XML/JSON, webhooks and API authentication.
• Solid understanding of invoicing, VAT and accounting data flows.
• SQL and database skills.

Preferred

• Hands-on experience delivering e-invoicing projects, such as KSA ZATCA (Phase 2), UAE e-invoicing or Peppol.
• Knowledge of UBL 2.1, digital signatures and QR code requirements.
• Familiarity with Oman VAT and the Fawtara framework.
• GCC experience with ERP partners or system integrators.
