Position: ERP Manager

Job Location: Uganda, Kampala

Experience: 10+ years in FMCG or distribution-focused IT, with at least 3-5 years in a senior IT leadership role.

Education: Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or Business Management

Role Involves :

For a multi-FMCG distribution company,  Drive Digital Transformation, Implement ERP ecosystems (e.g., SAP, Microsoft Dynamics), and oversees distribution-specific technologies. This strategic-yet-hands-on leadership role ensures supply chain efficiency, inventory visibility, and robust IT security across all regional.

Technical Mastery:

Deep proficiency in enterprise ERP (e.g., SAP S/4HANA, Microsoft Dynamics 365, Oracle) and BItools (Power BI, Tableau).

Soft Skills: Exceptional stakeholder management, commercial awareness, and strategic problem-solving abilities.

Core Responsibilities:

• ERP Strategy & Implementation: Lead the end-to-end deployment, customization, and continuous optimization of ERP System,

• Ensure seamless integration with warehouse management, procurement, finance, and trade promotion modules.

• Distribution & Supply Chain IT: Deploy Distributor Management Systems (DMS) and route-optimization tools to track inventory real-time and eliminate stockouts. Ensure batch-level traceability (manufacturing/expiry dates) for fast-moving goods.

• Infrastructure & Cybersecurity: Oversee enterprise cloud technologies, data centers, networks, and IT security

• frameworks to protect sensitive corporate and financial data.

• Data Analytics & BI: Establish dashboards and reporting systems for real-time visibility into sales velocity, distributor performance, and financial KPIs.

• Trade Promotion & Scheme Management: Automatically apply discounts, volume-based rebates, and regional tax variations (e.g., local East African tax rates).

• Financial Management: Manage inventory, finance & supply chain with next-gen ERP software.

• Monitor system records for Accounts Payable/Receivable (invoicing, collections) and the General Ledger.

• Troubleshooting & Training: Act as the primary bridge between IT and end-users (warehouse, sales, and finance teams), providing troubleshooting and continuous staff training.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

• System Uptime: Ensuring 99.9% system availability so sales and logistics are never halted.

• Inventory Accuracy: Achieving near-perfect (>98%) physical to systemic stock alignment.

• Order Processing Time: Reducing the time it takes from order placement to final delivery.

• Stock Write-Offs: Minimizing expired or damaged goods through accurate systemic monitoring.
