About AXR Group

AXR Group is a Queensland property development and construction group. Our businesses span residential development, commercial property, 3D-printed concrete construction and export. We are building out the ERP systems that run across all of them, and we want people who can build them properly.

About the role

You will build and maintain the custom code, reports, interfaces and integrations that keep AXR's finance, project, procurement and construction systems working together. You will work with functional consultants and the project team to turn business requirements into tested, documented code.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and test custom ERP objects, including reports, interfaces, enhancements, forms and workflows.
• Build and support integrations between the ERP and third-party systems such as banking, payroll, CRM, document management and Microsoft 365, using APIs, IDocs, BAPIs, web services or middleware.
• Write and tune SQL and stored procedures for data extraction, reconciliation and reporting.
• Investigate and fix production defects, with root-cause analysis and clear notes on what changed.
• Maintain technical specifications, unit test scripts and release notes.
• Manage code in version control and follow the change control process for every release to test and production.
• Support data migration scripts and cutover activities as directed by the project team.
• Provide second-line support to business users on technical issues.

Essential requirements

• At least three years' hands-on ERP development experience in SAP (ABAP, including object-oriented ABAP, ALV and Adobe or Smartforms) or Oracle (PL/SQL, Oracle Forms and Reports, or Oracle Integration Cloud).
• Strong SQL skills.
• Experience with integration technologies such as REST and SOAP APIs, IDocs, BAPIs or middleware.
• Ability to read a functional specification and turn it into working, tested code.
• Experience with version control (Git or equivalent) and transport or release management.

Desirable

• SAP S/4HANA, SAP Fiori or UI5, or Oracle Cloud ERP development experience.
• Experience with SAP PS, RE-FX or Oracle Project Costing in a project-based environment.
• Python or Power Automate for process automation.
• Experience in construction, property development or other project-based businesses.
• SAP or Oracle developer certification.

The person we are looking for

• Methodical, and documents as you go, not at the end.
• Comfortable working from a specification that is still changing.
• Can explain a technical problem to a finance manager without losing them.

Work arrangement

Based in Beenleigh, Queensland (11 Main Street, Beenleigh QLD 4207). Remote and work-from-home arrangements are available for this role. Working from AXR offices in other Australian locations is acceptable. Some travel to project sites and to Beenleigh may be needed.

Pay: $120,000.00 – $150,000.00 per year
