IT Support Specialist

We are looking for a motivated and technically inclined team member who is interested in transitioning into the IT Department. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys technology, problem-solving, and helping others, and wants to grow their career in IT.

The IT Support Specialist will assist with day-to-day technology support across the company, including preparing devices for new employees, troubleshooting user issues, and learning core IT systems and infrastructure.

Responsibilities

• Set up and prepare computers, phones, tablets, and other devices for new employees
• Configure user accounts, passwords, email access, and basic system permissions
• Provide first-level technical support for hardware, software, and connectivity issues
• Troubleshoot and resolve user issues in a timely and professional manner
• Assist with device inventory, equipment tracking, and asset management
• Learn and support systems including Active Directory, networking, security tools, and company applications
• Work with the IT team to maintain system security and user access standards
• Help document IT procedures and support processes
• Escalate complex technical issues when needed while continuing to learn and develop technical skills

Qualifications

• Strong interest in technology and IT support
• Good problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
• Strong communication and customer service mindset
• Ability to learn new systems and technologies quickly
• Organized and detail-oriented
• Reliable and able to manage multiple tasks effectively

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior experience helping users with technical issues
• Familiarity with Windows computers, mobile devices, printers, or office technology
• Basic understanding of networking, security, or Active Directory is a plus
• CompTIA A+ or similar certifications are a plus but not required
