The successful candidate will work closely with Finance, Engineering, Production, Purchasing, Supply Chain, Sales, and IT to improve operational efficiency, strengthen data integrity, automate business processes, and support company growth.

The ideal candidate combines strong ERP functional expertise with a practical understanding of manufacturing and distribution operations. This role requires a hands-on problem solver who can manage daily system support while leading cross-functional projects, implementing new ERP capabilities, managing integrations, and developing a long-term systems roadmap.

Key Responsibilities

1. ERP Administration & Support

  • Serve as the primary functional owner and administrator of the Acumatica ERP environment.
  • Manage daily system operations, configuration, user support, troubleshooting, and issue resolution.
  • Maintain system security, user access, role assignments, and segregation of duties.
  • Coordinate with internal users, external consultants, and service providers to maintain system stability, performance, and reliability.
  • Establish and maintain ERP documentation, support procedures, governance standards, and change-control processes.
  • Monitor system issues, identify recurring problems, and implement sustainable solutions.

2. Manufacturing & Business Process Optimization

  • Partner with department leaders to evaluate and improve business processes supported by Acumatica.
  • Support manufacturing and distribution processes, including bills of materials (BOMs), inventory management, purchasing, production planning, material requirements planning (MRP), order processing, and costing.
  • Identify opportunities to improve workflow efficiency, data accuracy, inventory visibility, and operational reporting.
  • Evaluate, prioritize, and manage system enhancement requests based on business impact and company priorities.
  • Promote consistent system usage, standardized processes, and adherence to established procedures.
  • Lead cross-functional initiatives to eliminate manual work, reduce errors, and improve productivity.

3. System Integrations & Data Management

  • Manage and support integrations between Acumatica and third-party business applications, including Hot Spot and other connected systems.
  • Coordinate integration troubleshooting, testing, upgrades, and ongoing maintenance.
  • Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and integrity across connected applications.
  • Establish appropriate data management practices, validation procedures, and controls.
  • Work with internal stakeholders and external vendors to resolve integration issues and improve data flow between systems.

4. ERP Implementation & Modernization

  • Develop and maintain an Acumatica roadmap aligned with business objectives, operational requirements, and future growth.
  • Lead the evaluation, planning, configuration, testing, and deployment of new Acumatica modules and functionality.
  • Manage implementation projects from requirements gathering through launch, training, and post-implementation support.
  • Coordinate with department stakeholders, implementation partners, and vendors to ensure projects meet scope, schedule, and business requirements.
  • Evaluate system capabilities, upgrades, and modernization opportunities to maximize the value of the ERP investment.
  • Develop project plans, manage priorities, track milestones, and communicate project status and risks to leadership.

5. Disaster Recovery & Business Continuity

  • Develop and maintain ERP disaster recovery and business continuity plans.
  • Coordinate backup, recovery, and restoration testing in partnership with IT and relevant service providers.
  • Establish recovery procedures and contingency plans for critical business applications.
  • Support business continuity planning to minimize operational disruption and protect business data.

6. Reporting, Analytics & Performance Improvement

  • Support the development and improvement of operational reports, dashboards, and business analytics.
  • Partner with department leaders to define reporting requirements and improve access to reliable, actionable information.
  • Improve visibility into key business metrics, including inventory, purchasing, production performance, order fulfillment, and financial performance.
  • Identify opportunities to automate reporting and reduce manual data manipulation.
  • Help ensure leadership and department managers have accurate information to support operational and strategic decisions.

7. Training & Change Management

  • Develop and coordinate ERP user training, reference materials, and standard operating procedures.
  • Lead change management activities associated with system enhancements and new implementations.
  • Support user adoption and ensure employees understand system processes and requirements.
  • Establish feedback mechanisms to identify training needs, system issues, and opportunities for continued improvement.

Qualifications

Required

  • Bachelor’s degree in information systems, Business, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent relevant professional experience.
  • Five or more years of experience in ERP administration, business systems, or enterprise applications management.
  • Strong experience supporting Acumatica or a comparable ERP platform.
  • Experience managing system configurations, integrations, troubleshooting, user administration, and business application support.
  • Working knowledge of manufacturing or distribution business processes, including inventory, purchasing, production, and order management.
  • Understanding of ERP security, data integrity, internal controls, and segregation of duties.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional projects and work effectively with department managers and end users.
