Escape Games Systems Programmer – Hybrid

NoWayOut Dubai is looking for a skilled Escape Games Systems Programmer to join our team in a hybrid capacity. Your primary focus will be maintaining, troubleshooting, and supporting our existing escape room game systems across our 5 branches in Dubai. You may also be asked to design and program new systems when required.

This role is perfect for someone who can work remotely for diagnostics and updates, but is also ready to attend on-site at our various locations when needed. Availability on weekends and public holidays is essential, as these are our busiest days and technical issues must be handled quickly.

What You’ll Do:

• Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair existing escape room software and game systems.
• Program and update microcontrollers (Arduino, ESP32, Raspberry Pi) and game logic as needed.
• Provide remote technical support and diagnostics for game systems across all branches.
• Attend on-site at different Dubai locations for repairs, installations, and urgent issues.
• Design and program new puzzle systems when required, based on company needs.
• Integrate code with sensors, motors, relays, audio, and lighting systems.
• Respond quickly to technical issues during live games, including weekends and holidays.
• Document systems, code, and fixes to support future maintenance.
• Manage spare parts, tools, and inventory related to game electronics.
• Ensure all game systems meet safety standards and operate reliably.

What We’re Looking For:

• 2+ years’ experience in software development, embedded systems, or interactive game programming.
• Strong programming skills in C/C++ and Python; JavaScript is a plus.
• Hands-on experience with Arduino, ESP32, or Raspberry Pi.
• Ability to integrate code with hardware (sensors, actuators, etc.).
• Strong troubleshooting skills for both software and hardware.
• Must be available on weekends and public holidays for on-call and urgent technical issues.
• Professional English communication skills.
• Previous UAE work experience.
• Must have own transportation (travel required between 5 branches in Dubai).
• Able to work hybrid: remotely and on-site as needed.
• Team player with a positive, problem-solving mindset.

Pay: AED4,000.00 - AED6,000.00 per month
