Introduction Village Capital is seeking an experienced Escrow Officer Assistant to join our growing mortgage operations team. Key Responsibilities
- Perform post-closing review and settlement analysis of mortgage loan files.
- Audit closing packages, settlement statements, and escrow documentation for accuracy and compliance.
- Identify and resolve title, escrow, and settlement discrepancies.
- Coordinate curative actions including missing documentation, recording issues, and title corrections.
- Work with internal teams, closing agents, title companies, and county recording offices to resolve post-closing issues.
- Ensure loan files meet investor, regulatory, and company requirements.
- Review recorded documents and confirm proper recording and lien position.
- Maintain accurate records of audit findings and corrective actions.
- Assist with post-closing compliance and quality control initiatives.
Qualifications
- 3+ years experience as an Escrow Officer, Title Officer, Settlement Agent, or Post-Closing Specialist.
- Strong understanding of title insurance, escrow procedures, and mortgage closing documentation.

- Knowledge of post-closing processes, curative work, and document compliance.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple files and resolve complex issues efficiently.
- Strong communication and coordination skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working in post-closing, collateral review, or mortgage quality control.
- Background in title curative or recording resolution.
- Familiarity with investor guidelines (Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, FHA, VA).
