ESD Engineer

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate and maintain the site ESD Control Program in compliance with ANSI/ESD S20.20, IEC 61340, customer, and internal requirements.
• Conduct routine ESD audits and inspections in manufacturing, warehouse, laboratory, and repair areas.
• Monitor and verify ESD control equipment including wrist straps, footwear testers, grounding systems, workstations, ionizers, and ESD packaging materials.
• Perform ESD compliance measurements and maintain related records and reports.
• Investigate ESD-related failures, defects, and non-conformities and support root cause analysis and corrective actions.
• Coordinate calibration and preventive maintenance activities for ESD monitoring equipment.
• Develop, update, and maintain ESD procedures, work instructions, and training materials.
• Deliver ESD awareness and compliance training to employees, contractors, and visitors.
• Support customer audits, certification audits, and internal quality audits related to ESD requirements.
• Work closely with Quality, Manufacturing Engineering, Process Engineering, Maintenance, and Operations teams to ensure effective ESD controls.
• Generate periodic ESD performance reports and recommend improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or related role.

• At least 3 years of experience in ESD Control, Quality Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Process Engineering, or Electronics Manufacturing.

• Knowledge of ESD standards such as ANSI/ESD S20.20, IEC 61340, and related customer requirements.

• Familiar with ESD control methods, grounding systems, ionizers, ESD workstations, and ESD packaging.

• Experience conducting audits, compliance checks, and root cause analysis activities.

• Knowledge of quality tools such as 5 Why, Fishbone Diagram, FMEA, and 8D.

• Good communication, coordination, and training skills.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel and PowerPoint.

• Good command of English, both written and spoken.
