ESG Analyst

• Conduct ESG due diligence for corporate, SME, and project finance clients, focusing on high-risk sectors.
• Identify material ESG risks and provide risk opinions to support credit approval.
• Integrate ESG factors into underwriting standards, credit reviews, and sector guidelines.
• Analyze portfolio-level ESG exposures, heatmaps, and early warning indicators.
• Assess qualitative and semi-quantitative climate risks (transition & physical) aligned with NGFS/IPCC scenarios.
• Support regulatory and policy alignment (BOT climate risk, ISSB S2, TCFD – risk-focused).
• Advise relationship managers and credit teams on ESG risks and mitigation strategies.
• Review ESG assessments, mentor junior analysts, and strengthen ESG risk capabilities across the credit function.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Finance, Economics, Risk Management, Sustainability, Environmental Science, Engineering, or related fields.
• 8–10 years of experience in credit risk, ESG or sustainability risk, or related financial risk areas.
• Experience in corporate banking, project finance, or sectoral due diligence preferred.
• Exposure to climate or transition risk frameworks is a plus.
• Strong knowledge of ESG risk drivers and relevant standards (BOT climate risk, ISSB S2, TCFD, IFC).
• Ability to interpret ESG data, regulatory disclosures, and credit processes.
• Strong analytical, communication, and presentation skills.
• Collaborative, adaptable, and able to influence effectively in English etc.)
