We are a hands-on, operationally minded organization. Our team is responsible for the full lifecycle of our assets — from project development and construction through to long-term operations and portfolio optimization.

Role Overview

  Renalfa is looking for an experienced and motivated ESG Manager to join our Sustainability team and support the continued growth of our renewable energy portfolio across Central and Eastern Europe.

The role provides an opportunity to work on the development, financing, construction and operation of renewable energy and energy storage projects, while contributing to the practical implementation of Renalfa’s ESG strategy and commitments.

Key responsibilities

• Support the implementation and continuous improvement of the company’s ESG strategy and Environmental and Social Management System;
• Coordinate environmental and social due diligence processes, Environmental and Social Action Plans, management plans and monitoring programmes;
• Support project compliance with applicable legislation, lender requirements and international standards;
• Prepare and coordinate ESG reporting for management, lenders, investors and other stakeholders;
• Contribute to EU Taxonomy, CSRD/ESRS, climate, carbon and sustainability-related assessments and disclosures;
• Work closely with project development, construction, operations, legal, finance, procurement and HSE teams;
• Coordinate external consultants and support engagement with lenders, investors, contractors and local stakeholders;
• Identify ESG risks and support the implementation and monitoring of appropriate mitigation measures.

Candidate profile

• University degree in environmental studies, sustainability, engineering, law, economics or another related field;
• Professional experience in ESG, sustainability, environmental and social risk management or a related area;
• Experience in renewable energy, infrastructure, construction, project finance or sustainability consulting would be considered a strong advantage;
• Knowledge of international financial institution standards and European sustainability legislation;
• Ability to translate regulatory and lender requirements into practical project-level actions;
• Strong analytical, organisational and stakeholder-management skills;
• Excellent written and spoken English;
• Proactive, structured and solution-oriented approach;
• Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in an international working environment.
