ESOP Benefits Consultant

We are seeking an experienced ESOP Benefits Consultant to manage the administration and compliance of employee stock ownership plans. This position serves as a primary client contact and works closely with plan sponsors, trustees, advisors, auditors, valuation firms, and internal teams throughout the annual plan cycle.

Responsibilities:

• Manage a caseload of ESOP clients from data collection through final reporting
• Review census, payroll, trust, and stock transaction data for accuracy
• Calculate participant allocations, vesting, distributions, diversification, and share releases
• Perform annual compliance testing, including 409(p), 410(b), 415, and top-heavy testing
• Prepare valuation reports, participant statements, and Form 5500 filings
• Support repurchase obligation studies, plan terminations, and other special projects
• Interpret plan documents and advise clients on plan provisions and operational issues
• Coordinate with auditors and valuation professionals to keep projects on schedule
• Respond to client questions and explain complex ESOP concepts clearly

Qualifications:

• 3+ years of ESOP or qualified retirement-plan administration experience
• Strong knowledge of ERISA, IRS, and Department of Labor requirements
• Experience with ESOP allocations, compliance testing, and annual administration
• Strong analytical, organizational, and client-service skills
• Ability to manage multiple deadlines and work independently
• QKA, QPA, CEBS, or other industry credentials are preferred

Pay: $90,000.00 - $130,000.00 per year
