Estate Manager

About the role

NGAN PLANTATION is an established oil palm plantation based in Sandakan, Sabah. The Plantation / Estate Manager is responsible for overall development and activities in oil palm plantation estate from nursery to maturity stage.

Key responsibilities

• Responsible for overall development and activities in oil palm plantation estate from nursery to maturity stage
• Ensure all estate operations are in compliance with the Environment Safety and Health (ESH) policies and other related statutory regulations
• Ensure infrastructure and supporting units are prepared and available to facilitate cost efficient operations
• Coordinate with all related departments and field assistants
• Demonstrate maturity and care in handling harmonious relationship with local communities and authority
• Control balanced production cost and report performance
• Implement field operations, manpower planning, budgeting, recruitment, and training

About you

• Degree / Diploma in Agricultural Science / Plantation Management / Forestry or equivalent
• At least 5 years of relevant managerial experience in any type of plantation operation
• Experience in planning, organizing and implementing activities from land clearing mineral / peat soil, nursery to replanting and harvesting
• Command leadership and ability in implementing field operations, manpower planning, budgeting, recruitment, training
• Willing to be positioned in the estate
• Proficient in computer skills such as Microsoft Office
• Fluent in English and Bahasa Malaysia
