Estate Planning Associate

A well-established, women-owned estate planning firm in Denver is seeking an Estate Planning Associate with at least 3 years of experience to join its tight-knit, collaborative team. This is an excellent opportunity for an attorney who enjoys working directly with clients, developing thoughtful estate plans, and taking ownership of matters while having the support of an experienced team.

You will work directly with individuals, families, and estates to develop and implement comprehensive estate plans, draft sophisticated planning documents, and advise clients on strategies tailored to their needs. The practice serves clients with estates typically valued at up to approximately $50 million and also handles select probate and estate administration matters.

Responsibilities include:

• Meeting and working directly with clients to understand their circumstances, goals, and estate planning needs.
• Developing, implementing, and maintaining comprehensive estate plans tailored to individual clients and families.
• Drafting and reviewing estate planning documents and trust structures.
• Advising clients on estate planning strategies and overseeing gifting transactions.
• Handling select probate and estate administration matters.
• Managing client relationships and matters independently while maintaining strong communication and attention to detail.
• Thinking strategically about each client's needs and circumstances to develop the most effective planning approach.
• Collaborating with colleagues to deliver thoughtful, high-quality client service.

The ideal candidate will have:

• At least 3 years of estate planning experience.
• Strong legal writing, drafting, and analytical skills.
• Experience working directly with clients and managing matters independently.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
• Intellectual curiosity and the ability to think strategically about complex client needs.
• A collaborative approach and the ability to contribute to a small team while working autonomously.
• A proactive, client-focused mindset and the ability to manage a busy practice.

The firm offers a 1,200-hour billable requirement and the opportunity to make partner.

The position is initially in-office five days per week to support training and integration with the team, with the flexibility to transition to a hybrid schedule of one to two days working from home over time.

Compensation starts at $120,000 and is dependent on experience.
