What they need

At NHS Property Services, our people are at the heart of everything we do. We're committed to creating a workplace where colleagues feel valued, supported, and empowered to make a meaningful impact. As part of our mission to Get, Grow and Keep Great People, we're looking for an ambitious and customer-focused Estates Coordinator to join our team supporting healthcare properties across Oxfordshire. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to build a career in Facilities Management and gain exposure to a wide range of property and operational activities.

About the Role

As an Estates Coordinator, you will play a key role in supporting the effective management of NHS healthcare properties across Oxfordshire. Acting as a central point of contact for customers, contractors and suppliers, you'll help ensure services are delivered efficiently, issues are resolved promptly, and our healthcare environments remain safe and operational.

This is a varied and highly visible role, offering exposure to multiple aspects of Facilities Management and Property Services. You'll work closely with internal teams, contractors and customers, coordinating activities across a diverse healthcare estate while developing valuable skills and experience within the FM sector.

The role offers flexible hybrid working, with a requirement to attend the local hub and travel regularly to sites across Oxfordshire

Who You Are

You are a proactive, organised and customer-focused individual who enjoys building relationships and solving problems. You may already have experience within Facilities Management, Property, Operations or Customer Services, or you may bring strong transferable skills and a desire to learn.

Most importantly, you're eager to develop, confident communicating with a variety of stakeholders, and motivated to build a long-term career within Estates and Facilities Management.

Key Responsibilities

  • Acting as a key point of contact for customers, contractors and suppliers across the Oxfordshire portfolio.
  • Managing and maintaining Facilities Management databases and systems.
  • Coordinating contractor activities and ensuring works are progressed efficiently.
  • Building effective working relationships with customers and stakeholders across multiple sites.
  • Supporting the delivery of FM services across health centres, hospitals and other healthcare facilities.
  • Monitoring tasks, queries and service requests, ensuring timely resolution and communication.
  • Visiting sites across Oxfordshire to meet customers, inspect ongoing works and support operational delivery.
  • Supporting continuous improvement and contributing to the delivery of excellent customer service.

What You'll Bring

  • Excellent organisational and prioritisation skills.
  • Strong communication and relationship-building abilities.
  • Confidence in managing multiple tasks within a busy environment.
  • A customer-focused approach with the ability to handle challenging conversations professionally.
  • Good IT skills and experience of using databases and management systems.
  • A willingness to learn and develop within Facilities Management and Property Services.
  • A full UK driving licence and willingness to travel regularly across Oxfordshire.

Where You'll Be

This is a full-time 18-month Fixed Term Contract position based from Berinsfield Health Centre supporting sites across Oxfordshire. The role offers hybrid and flexible working; however, regular travel to customer sites and attendance at the local hub will be required. Candidates should be located within reasonable travelling distance of Oxford and be comfortable travelling throughout the region, including areas such as Banbury.

What We Can Offer You

We understand how important life is outside of work so, as well as a competitive salary starting from £30,000 we also offer

  • £3,000 annual car allowance.
  • Annual bonus opportunity.
  • 27 days annual leave + 8 bank holidays, with the option to buy additional leave.
  • A Smarter Working Policy, empowering you to choose how and where you work according to your daily activities.
  • Training and development opportunities through our Professional Excellence Framework.
  • SMART Pension contribution, with company contributions up to 6%.
  • A range of flexible benefits including NHS retail discounts and the Cycle to Work Scheme.
  • Colleague Assistance Programme providing support across all areas of life.

An Organisation with a Purpose…

We are an organisation with a passion for giving back. Putting money back into the NHS, raising funds for our charity partners, supporting colleagues to volunteer within their local communities, and remaining committed to achieving net zero carbon by 2050.

We're committed to creating an inclusive workplace where everyone can thrive. We welcome applications from disabled people and will make reasonable adjustments throughout the recruitment process and in the workplace to support individual needs.

We celebrate diversity and are working hard to create an inclusive environment where people love to work and can fulfil their potential.

We encourage applications as soon as possible as vacancies may close early if we receive a high volume of suitable applications.
