Before applying, please carefully review the expectations for this position. We are looking for an esthetician who is professional, dependable, passionate about skincare, and genuinely motivated to continue learning, improve their skills, and build their clientele.

This position is best suited for someone who takes initiative and wants to grow with the studio, not someone looking only to come in when a client is already booked.

Think of this as your own business and you are being provided the space and supplies.

Availability

Studio Hours: Monday–Sunday, 9:00 AM–8:00 PM

All studio hours are currently available for booking. Estheticians are also welcome to accept appointments outside of these hours as their books grow.

This is a by-appointment-only position, so there are no required in-studio shifts outside of scheduled appointments, training, meetings, or other previously scheduled studio responsibilities.

Requirements

Applicants must:

• Hold an active New Jersey esthetics license
• Have at least 1 year of esthetics experience
• Be confident performing dermaplaning
• Be comfortable with client consultations, skincare education, and homecare recommendations
• Be professional, reliable, organized, and communicative
• Be comfortable working independently and managing the client experience without direct supervision
• Be receptive to feedback, continued education, and learning new treatment protocols
• Be comfortable creating and participating in social media content
• Maintain a professional, esthetics-focused social media presence
• Take initiative in building their skills, portfolio, and clientele

Preferred: Experience with GlyMed Plus, Circadia, chemical peels, hydrodermabrasion, microcurrent, LED therapy, and nanoinfusion.

3-Month Probationary Period

All new estheticians will begin with a 3-month probationary period as independent contractors and are responsible for their own applicable taxes.

During this period, we are looking for consistent effort and initiative. Estheticians should expect to actively participate in hands-on learning and professional development, including practicing treatments on models, learning studio protocols, continuing their education, creating content, and strengthening their treatment skills and portfolio.

If additional education or practice is needed for a treatment, the esthetician will be expected to demonstrate competency before performing that service independently on paying clients.

Think of these first three months as an opportunity to learn, practice, build, and show us what you can do. We do not expect you to know everything—we do expect you to take initiative in improving.

Commission Growth

Starting Service Commission: 30%
Maximum Service Commission: 40%
Retail Product Commission: 10%

Each month during probation, estheticians will receive a service quota to work toward.

Meeting the established quota provides the opportunity for a 5% increase to service commission, allowing an esthetician to progress from 30% → 35% → 40%.

Commission increases apply to service commission only. Retail product commission remains at 10% regardless of service commission level.

Commission increases are also dependent on maintaining professional standards, reliability, client care, communication, and consistent effort toward professional development.

After Probation

Upon successful completion of the 3-month probationary period, estheticians who demonstrate consistency, professionalism, commitment to learning, and overall fit within the studio will transition into employee status.

Successful completion of probation is based on overall performance and is not determined solely by service volume or commission level.

Social Media & Studio Growth

Social media is an important part of building both the studio and your individual clientele.

Team members are expected to:

• Consistently share their work, treatments, or educational skincare content
• Tag Radiance Atelier and add the studio as a collaborator on applicable treatment content
• Tag Radiance Atelier as the location on treatment-related posts
• Participate in studio content when needed
• Maintain a professional online presence

We want our estheticians to build their own name and clientele within Radiance Atelier, so taking an active role in marketing yourself is important.

Interview Process

Interviews are scheduled on a rolling basis as applications are received. Selected applicants will be expected to complete a hands-on treatment demonstration.
