Esthetics Instructor

The Salon Professional Academy San Antonio is seeking an Esthetics Instructor to deliver engaging, student-focused instruction in an onsite learning environment in San Antonio, TX.

Position Summary

The Esthetics Instructor will teach and guide students through foundational and advanced esthetics concepts, with an emphasis on practical skill development, professional standards, and safe clinic/lab practices. This role is responsible for creating a positive learning experience while helping students build the knowledge and confidence needed to succeed in the field.

You will plan and deliver course instruction, support assessments and progress tracking, and maintain compliance with program requirements and established safety protocols. The ideal candidate combines strong subject knowledge with a passion for coaching and developing learners.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality instruction for esthetics coursework, integrating demonstrations, guided practice, and interactive learning activities.
• Develop and update lesson plans and training materials aligned with program goals and expected learning outcomes.
• Evaluate student performance through assessments, skill checks, and feedback, maintaining accurate documentation of progress.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe classroom and practice/lab environment, following infection control and safety procedures.
• Support student success through coaching, professionalism expectations, and encouragement of consistent attendance and engagement.

Required Qualifications

• Demonstrated background in esthetics with the ability to teach core services and related theory.
• Strong instructional and communication skills, with the ability to explain concepts clearly and support diverse learning needs.
• Commitment to safety and professionalism, including following established clinic/lab protocols.
• Experience coaching, training, or mentoring learners (students or adults) in a structured environment.
• Ability to manage classroom/lab organization and maintain accurate instructional and assessment records.

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior teaching experience in a cosmetology/esthetics training program, or experience instructing hands-on skills.
• Familiarity with curriculum standards and training program requirements for esthetics education.
• Experience using assessment and feedback methods to support measurable student improvement.
• A customer-service mindset and ability to model professional conduct in a student training setting.
