Estimation and Billing Engineer

Experienced Estimation and Billing Engineer to lead quantity take offs, rate analysis, BOQ preparation, and tendering for residential and commercial building projects in Pune. The role requires strong technical knowledge of civil construction, cost control practices, and the ability to convert drawings and specifications into accurate, competitive estimates that support project wins and margin protection.

Key Responsibilities

• Estimate Preparation: Prepare detailed estimates and BOQs from drawings, specifications, and site inputs.
• Rate Analysis: Develop and maintain rate analysis for materials, labor, plant, and subcontract packages.
• Tendering: Prepare tender documents, evaluate vendor/subcontractor bids, and recommend award decisions.
• Cost Control: Monitor budget vs actual, track variations, prepare cost forecasts, and support monthly cost reporting.
• Quantity Take off: Perform accurate quantity take offs using drawings, AutoCAD, and measurement standards.
• Commercial Support: Assist commercial and project teams with contract clauses, payment schedules, and claims support.
• Vendor Management: Prequalify vendors, obtain quotations, and negotiate rates to optimize project costs.
• Standards and Codes: Ensure estimates comply with IS codes, NBC, and company estimation standards.
• Documentation: Maintain estimation templates, historical rate database, and tender submission records.
• Coordination: Work closely with design, procurement, planning, and site teams to validate assumptions and resolve discrepancies.

Required Qualifications

• Education: Bachelors degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
• Experience: 810 years of handson experience in estimation and costing for building projects.
• Software Proficiency: Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, AutoCAD, and specialized cost estimation/ERP software.
• Technical Skills: Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications.
• Analytical Skills: Strong analytical abilities to evaluate market trends and historical data.
• Domain: Proven experience in residential and commercial building projects; exposure to highrise projects preferred.
