The Estimation and Proposal Engineer will be responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates for construction projects and creating compelling proposals. Key Responsibilities : Cost Estimation : Analyze project specifications and requirements to develop accurate cost estimates. Utilize cost estimation software and tools to calculate material, labor, and overhead costs. Proposal Development : Prepare detailed and well-organized proposals outlining project scopes, timelines, and cost breakdowns. Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and architects to gather necessary information for proposals. Bid Analysis : Evaluate bid documents and conduct thorough analysis to understand project requirements. Provide input on bid strategy, pricing, and contractual terms. Collaboration : Work closely with internal teams, subcontractors, and suppliers to gather pricing information. Collaborate with sales and business development teams to align proposals with client expectations. Risk Assessment : Identify and assess potential risks and challenges associated with project estimates. Develop strategies to mitigate risks and ensure competitive pricing. Client Interaction : Engage with clients to understand their needs and requirements. Present and explain cost estimates and proposals to clients as needed. Documentation : Maintain organized and detailed records of cost estimates, proposals, and bid-related documents. Ensure compliance with company standards for proposal documentation.
