Estimation Engineer

We are looking for an Estimation Engineer with experience in prefab buildings, modular cabins, steel structures, containers, fit-out, and MEP works.

The candidate will be responsible for preparing cost estimates, BOQs, quotations, and tender submissions based on drawings and project requirements.

Main Responsibilities

• Review drawings, BOQ, specifications, and tender documents.
• Prepare quantity take-offs and cost estimates.
• Prepare quotations for:
• Prefab and modular buildings
• Portable cabins and site offices
• Accommodation units
• Containers and container modifications
• Steel structures
• Interior fit-out
• MEP works
• Get prices from suppliers and subcontractors.
• Compare and negotiate supplier quotations.
• Prepare BOQ and costing sheets.
• Calculate material, labour, transport, equipment, and subcontractor costs.
• Coordinate with Design, Procurement, Production, Projects, and Finance teams.
• Attend site visits and pre-bid meetings when required.
• Prepare variation and additional-work quotations.
• Support project teams with cost control and revised estimates.
• Maintain supplier prices, cost databases, and estimation records.
• Ensure quotations are submitted on time.

Requirements

• Diploma or Degree in Civil or Mechanical Engineering.
• 2–5 years of experience in estimation.
• Experience in prefab/modular construction, steel structures, cabins, containers, or fit-out is preferred.
• Good knowledge of quantity take-off and costing.
• Experience using AutoCAD for quantity take-off.
• Good knowledge of MS Excel and Word.
• ERP experience is an advantage.
• Good understanding of MEP and fit-out works.
• Good English communication skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
• UAE/GCC experience is preferred.
