Estimation Engineer

Position Overview:

We are seeking a skilled Steel Estimator to join our team in Dubai. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in steel estimation and fabrication, with hands-on experience in AutoCAD (2D & 3D), SolidWorks, and preparation of fabrication drawings. The role will involve site visits, detailed steel estimation, and bid development for various projects.

Key Responsibilities:

• Review RFQs, tender documents, drawings, specifications, and prepare BOQs.
• Prepare accurate cost estimates for structural steel fabrication, machining, and installation projects.
• Perform quantity take-offs from fabrication and structural drawings.
• Prepare material cost estimates, labor hours, machining requirements, and subcontractor costs.
• Coordinate with suppliers to obtain competitive quotations.
• Prepare technical and commercial proposals.
• Work closely with engineering, production, procurement, and project teams during tendering.
• Conduct site visits when required to understand project scope.
• Ensure estimates comply with project specifications and industry standards.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Metallurgical Engineering, or an equivalent discipline.
• Minimum 2–3 years of experience in estimation and fabrication.
• Strong knowledge of structural steel fabrication and machining processes.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD (2D & 3D).
• Experience with SolidWorks and fabrication drawings.
• Ability to read engineering drawings and technical specifications.
• Excellent analytical, communication, and negotiation skills.
• UAE experience will be an added advantage.

Pay: AED4,500.00 - AED5,000.00 per month
